We need your generous contributions toward our

Grant’s matching projects.

Click here for a detailed flyer on the subject.

The grants we have received are as follows:

American Hiking Society  $3,600  for signage trail maps at Faye-Luther and Job's Peak Ranch Trail.

Sierra Pacific Power  $5,000 for trailhead improvements at Adams Canyon (Genoa Foothill Trail).

(The above two grants do not require matching funds.)

State of Nevada Recreational Trails Program  $17,555 with a matching share of $10,660  for directional and interpretive signs at Faye Luther and Job’s Peak Ranch.

Nevada Division of State Lands (Question 1)  $396,378  with a matching share of $259,564  for environmental studies and surveys of the Genoa Foothill Trail, heavy equipment for trail building and materials.

Carson Valley Trails Association will meet their matches with cash and volunteer services in the form of trail building, oversight and administration of the projects.  We need your help.  Every dollar counts.  You may send your contributions to
CVTA, Box 222, Minden, NV 89423 or via our PayPal facility.  Also, please use this web site for information on volunteer opportunities.

We are anticipating the environmental studies and surveys to begin in the spring of 2009, and we hope that the actual trail building can commence in one to three years after that.
