Annual Hike for Health
CVTA's First "Hike for Health" Hike-a-Thon a Success
CVTA's recent "Hike tor Health" Hike-a-Thon, which started April 22 (Earth Day) and concluded June 6 (American Hiking Society's National Trails Day) was very successful. The Hike-a-Thon provided a great opportunity for participants to learn more about the wonderful trails available in the Carson Valley and nearby areas, while engaging in a healthy, outdoor activity.
CVTA will use the money raised by the Hike-a-Thon to fund environmental studies for the 24-mile Genoa Foothill Trail System project. Additional funding for this project will be provided by a Question 1 grant awarded to CVTA by the Nevada Division of State Lands, as well as other sources. If you did not participate in the Hike-a-Thon, but would like to make a tax-deductible donation to support the Genoa Foothill Trail System project, visit the CVTA website for detailed information about the project and a donation form.
